"Tech Talks" are Zoom meetings that have been prepared to support remote instruction during our school dismissal. This will be a live training/webinar and provide group discussions and collaboartion between teachers.
Who should attend the meetings?
Anyone who wants to learn about the topic listed
Join to share your expertise and best practices about the topic listed
Join to listen to the conversation and hear others collaborate (might give you some new insight on the topic)
If you can't attend on the date/time posted, a link to the recording will be posted OR you can schedule an alternative meeting (see below)

Instructional Technology Tools
Below are resources that will assist you in utilizing instructional tools with your students. Don't feel like you need to be using all the applications listed, but rather, choose one. The purpose of this site is to provide support for your individual classroom needs. All resources listed have links and videos embedded in the slide decks for your reference. Record your screen (no webcam needed). Post the recording in Google Classroom to provide extra support to your students. Click on the image to the left to open the slide deck. Everything you need to know to Zoom successfully! Click on the image for information on: Creating and Inviting participants, Security Settings, Zoom Protocol for Students, and Managing Breakout Rooms.

Communicate with your students in a secure and fun environment. Create a GROUP for your class and post topics to promote discussion. Students respond to topics with a short video. GOOGLE CLASSROOM - Level 1/ Level 2
Go to the tutorial page you will find several short videos on Google Classroom.
There is a series for Level 1 and Level 2 users - this is everything you ever needed to know to learn how to use GC, manage feedback and workflow, create engaging assignments, etc.

GOOGLE FORMS - Level 1 / Level 2
All you need to know about Google Forms is here. The content is divided into 2 levels - Basic and Advanced. Basic will train you how to use Forms for the first time. Advanced will give you more tools, including add-ons, linking responses, Escape Rooms, and converting Docs/PDF's to Forms. Our favorite learning, game-based apps can be set up as individual challenges for student review to help students practice concepts. A fun way to review information (remotely)!

SEESAW - For Beginners
Learn how to create your class, connect your students, use the tools to demonstrate learning and explore the activity library. You will leave with ready-made templates to start the first three days of school and be excited to use Seesaw in your classroom whether going "virtual" or in person!

Learn how to create your own activities for both synchronous and asynchronous lessons, edit premade activities, use the tools within Seesaw to give students productive feedback and motivate student engagement using a digital sticker book. CUSTOM BITMOJI CLASSROOM HEADER:
All you need to know to create your own custom Bitmoji Classroom Header, including animation. There is also information on how to use the custom Bitmoji for creating engaging assignments in Google slides and using it as a header for your Google Site.

Create engaging and interactive slides using Pear Deck. Add slides to an existing presentation and choose from various interactive templates (or make your own). Pear Deck also allows you to cast your slides on to your students device so they can follow along from home. Unlock to use Student Paced mode to allow your students to go back through the slides at your own pace. Get the Pear Deck Add-on and you're ready to go. GC: The Student Side & Demo Accounts
A quick review on what the student side of Google Classroom looks like. If you're familiar with the Student Side you can help your students be more successful in submitting work and navigating Google Classroom. This slide also contains information on how to utilize Demo Accounts to add a faux student to your class - so you can see what students see.

Use this resource to learn everything you need to know about getting started with Guardian Emails. Learn how to activate, invite guardians, and how to manage guardians.
Create a class “hub” by making a website using Google Sites. Post all important information, resources, and links. Include a link to your Google Classroom or Post your URL in Clever. Since parents don’t have access to Google Classroom this has become a popular way to prepare a landing page for your class that is easily shared with parents/guardians.
