Does your Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides look a little different this week?
You may have noticed the changes already as updates roll out to all users (this may take a few days). Everything still works as usual, it just looks a little different and may take a few days to get used to. Here are the notable changes: â A simplified user interface at the top of your docs, sheets, and slides, helping you find frequently used actions faster
â Additional user experience improvements in commenting, rulers, and gridlines â There were no changes in functionality, however, some features have been relocated to reduce clutter within the new interface. Notably, you can find the latest status info for the doc, such as last edit and version history, via the clock icon in the top right corner.
â Easy access to tools when you "hover" on a file in Drive.
â Select multiple files (without using the Control Key). Just hover over the file/document and you will see a "checkbox appear."
â More ways to search and find files.
You may notice other slight changes as you maneuver through your documents.
All updates should be done by the end of next week.
Enjoy!
