🔓 Use "Lock Screens" 🔓 in Go Guardian

One of the most useful features in Go Guardian is the ability to "Lock Screens." This is

a great way to manage your classroom and easily communicate with your students. When you "Lock Screens" the students are unable to use their device until you select "unlock." You can easily grab ALL your students attention by locking their screens! I found this a particularly useful way to repeat directions and/or expectations during class. It forces the students to stop working (and listen)!

FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

  1. Select one or more students using the checkbox to the left of each student's name (or select the entire class by selecting the box in the top left). See image below.

  2. Once students are selected, the command bar will appear at the bottom of the screen

  3. Click the Lock Screen command

  4. (optional) Enter a custom message to be displayed on the lock screen

  5. Click Lock Screen

  6. To Unlock - select students, command bar will appear again, select "unlock"

**Note: If you haven't used Go Guardian yet, don't worry about learning all the features - just start a session. Go Guardian will record everything your students do while on their device, including web searches, documents opened, and apps used. That's right! All you need to do is log in and import your classes from Google Classroom and select START CLASS. View the Go Guardian resource for assistance.
